Naveen Sikka

President, New Energy Nexus, LLC

Naveen is a clean tech entrepreneur, with experience in energy finance, biofuels and energy efficiency. He recently completed his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, during which time he worked at the investment bank Lazard Freres and with the VC firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

In 2008, he served as Co-Chair of the Berkeley Energy and Resources Collaborative (BERC), an organization of over 1,000 members. Under Naveen’s leadership, BERC partnered with the US Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley Lab to develop commercialization strategies for energy technologies. In the same year, Naveen served on the Executive Committee of Cleantech for Obama, a national group of energy investors and entrepreneurs.

Earlier in his career, Naveen worked at the consultancy TPI, where he ran the negotiations for over $2 billion in outsourcing contracts for global financial firms. Naveen received his BA from Columbia University, where he was a Class Senior Marshal.
