OUR WORK

In 2016, New Energy Nexus and Climate Collective partnered to run India’s first Solar Hackathon in New Delhi. Since then, we’ve continued to grow one of the largest clean energy ecosystems in India and South Asia.

New Energy Nexus India focuses on empowering women entrepreneurs and tackling the underrepresentation of women in the clean energy sector.

ElectronVibe

ElectronVibe is a business-case development competition to identify and showcase entrepreneurial and technological innovations by mature power sector startups for Indian electric utilities. 

The goal of the program is to introduce innovation from power sector startups to utilities that could eventually enable:

  • More electricity produced from renewable energy
  • Higher quality of electricity supply to consumers in India
  • Higher number of EVs on India’s roads

Women in Climate Entrepreneurship (WICE) Program

WICE includes a portfolio of programs offered by New Energy Nexus India, powered by Climate Collective Foundation, and funded by Good Energies Foundation. Through these programs we support women-led startups in early stages to build capacity and commercialize faster:

  • Climate Label: a 6-week entrepreneurship development program for women students currently enrolled in various universities.
  • Climate certificate: a 9-month course for young women graduates/postgraduates/Ph.D. holders who aspire to start their entrepreneurship journey in the climate and cleantech.
  • Climate Ready: a 6-month pre- accelerator program designed specifically for early-stage women entrepreneurs.
  • Climate Springboard: supported by our partner incubators and accelerators, we offer climate tech startups domain-specific knowledge workshops.
