The Clean Fight is a new accelerator helping growth-stage clean energy and efficiency startups scale up in New York, while boosting economic opportunity and job creation across the state.
The first two chapters of The Clean Fight have focused on decarbonizing New York’s buildings, which account for 40% of New York State and 70% of New York City’s GHG emissions. Chapter 3 will focus on Energy Storage innovation.
The program is supported by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research & Development Authority), The Department of Energy and is the New York edition of New Energy Nexus.
What makes us unique is our focus on growth-stage companies who are ready to deploy at scale.
We’re the next step in the innovation ecosystem as companies move from demonstration to deployment. As a result, we’re focused on closing the adoption gap.
Companies at this stage are very focused on business agreements, so that’s at the heart of our program. We bring together committed corporate partners who are either direct customers or the influencers of purchase, and work with them to speed the path to business agreements.
We also have $1.25M in grants that can go toward pilots with a 2:1 match to help de-risk and stimulate the private markets.
A flagship not-for-profit accelerator, that will identify and scale the top growth-stage climate tech companies from around the world, looking to expand into New York. Innovators that will help speed the energy transition in New York, while boosting economic opportunity and job creation for all.
