New Energy Nexus Thailand is building an ecosystem of clean energy entrepreneurs working on solutions to address increasing energy demand and climate change. We launched our Thailand program in 2017 and have supported over 30 startup teams so far.
We support entrepreneurs to create new innovative energy startups that will help to build the nation’s clean energy economy and run programs with corporate partners to help them decarbonize their emissions.
We have conducted research to examine Thailand’s ecosystem landscape in relation to the climate technology sector. The objective of the project is to provide an overview and understanding of the climate technology environment and the roles and influence of various stakeholders, including governmental authorities, associations, venture capitalists, and corporate entities.
The study focuses on current Thai startups operating in the climate technology sector that have measurable greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction business operations, hereafter referred to as “Startups.” Learn more from our ecosystem mapping report.
This our newest program to support decarbonization of Thailand’s high emitting industry sectors via pairing large Thai corporates with startup solution providers and test their business model feasibility in a 3-month sandbox.
The goal of this program is to equip community representatives, mechanics and engineers with knowledge they can use to implement solar projects and businesses to accelerate the use of renewable energy in local communities across Thailand.
Through training sessions, participants will learn about solar panel design, Open Solar software, battery and inverter installation, and different types of solar business models.
