New Energy Nexus China aims to work with local partners to catalyze entrepreneurship in clean energy by providing business, technology, and financial support to new ideas and enterprises. In 2019, New Energy Nexus and Energy Internet Research Institute, Tsinghua University co-launched Energy Internet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (EIIEC) in Chengdu with the support of California Energy Commission and National Energy Administration of China. EIIEC is working on several initiatives aimed at supporting the growth-stage startups and facilitating “China In, China Out” strategy.
Supports early stage startups with forming their business, defining business model, raise investment and bring product to market.
Supports startups in developing pilots at laboratories and demonstration sites, matchmaking with corporate partners to develop commercial partnerships.
Co-managed by New Energy Nexus and Energy Internet Research Institute, Tsinghua University (EIRI), EXCEL ACCELERATOR is a growth-stage accelerator focused on the clean energy transition and climate change mitigation in China.

June, 2019 – Energy Internet Research Institute, Tsinghua University with New Energy Nexus co-hosted the Energy Internet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit (EIIES) in Chengdu, Sichuan, China to highlight the leaders that are driving the energy transition.
Technology corporations, startups, accelerators, and government who are taking significant strides in investing and deploying clean energy solutions participated in the two-day summit to share insight on the industry, strategies for success and established new partnerships.
